Nathan Gamel

Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Nate is proud to practice law in the state where he grew up.

Nate brings a wealth of law experience to the Skaug Law attorney team. His practice consisted of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and construction law.

Over the years, Nate has taken well over a hundred depositions, tried cases before the Idaho Industrial Commission, successfully argued cases before both Idaho state and federal courts, and conducted oral arguments at the Idaho Supreme Court.

Because of his extensive experience dealing with insurance companies, Nate has significant insight and in-depth understanding of how insurance companies process claims and litigate cases.

Nate graduated from law school and became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 2007. Working as an Associate Attorney at the law firm of Allen Law, LLC in Portland, Oregon, Nate represented plaintiffs in employment discrimination cases in both state and federal courts.

In 2009, Nate came home to Idaho and was admitted to the Idaho State Bar. He then worked his way to a Senior Associate position at the law firm of Bowen & Bailey, LLP.

In preparation for his law career, Nate attended the University of Idaho where he earned a degree in Political Science. He also co-founded and captained the University of Idaho Mock Trial Team and won an Outstanding Attorney Award.

He then attended law school at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Nate earned a Litigation Certificate, an Honors distinction in his Trial Skills coursework, and also earned a Small Claims Mediation Certificate. He also competed in and won an alternative dispute resolution competition.

Prior to graduation, Nate also litigated several criminal cases as the Chief Legal Intern at the Flint, Michigan City Attorney’s Office. In addition to obtaining valuable experience in both bench and jury trials, Nate also advocated for the victims of violent crime through the Flint Victim Advocacy Program. His contributions in this program were recognized by the Mayor of Flint with an Outstanding Service Award.

In September 2015, Nate brought his experience to Skaug Law where he focuses on personal injury, workers’ compensation, and construction law.

Nate is married to his wife Anna. They have two children.
